Playgroup

Since I quit my job in September, Gavin and I have been able to get back into the playgroup we joined when he was just a little baby. We all attended a large new mom's group at the hospital until the babies were 6 mos old, then we formed our own small group. There are about 10 or so regulars, and we rotate houses once a week, or meet up at indoor play areas or family cafes. We've also managed to have the occasional girls' night out, where we inevitably talk about our kids, but we aren't constantly interrupted and we get to enjoy a nice cocktail. :) It's been so great to make connections with these ladies again, and get Gavin around other tots his age. I think I look forward to Wednesdays now about as much as I do Christmas!

I didn't think anyone could possibly have more toys than Gavin, but Brady has him beat!

Bath Talk

We've been having difficulty uploading videos on our computer, but Youtube works! Here's a little compilation of some recent bathtime conversations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hOa0d0OGek.

Playtime with friends

Gavin is keeping very busy these days learning new things, like how to use his fork, and exploring new places, like today when he climbed up onto the couch by himself (and sadly decided to dive right off head first). He's a tough little guy though. :) He's also busy with his friends, and it's really cute to watch his gentle nature come out around other kids (at least I hope it stays that way!).

Yesterday, we went to my friend Marcy's house, where we played with her son Lorenzo, his little friend Eloise, and Lorenzo's pet chickens. Gavin was highly entertained.

this is what Gavin would call a "tunnah!"

Last week, my friend Kristi brought her little girl Madison over for the day, and we had a great time as always. They're 3 months apart, and I swear Madison has a crush on Gavin, the way her eyes follow him all around the room. And he acts like he doesn't know. :)

showing Madison his favorite spot to play, and watch the occasional car, school bus, or garbage truck go by.

I turned on Gavin's "Baby McDonald" video and he Madison were thrilled. Just look at these two little lovebirds...the body language says it all. :)
