More walking footage

These were taken on my phone last week while Paul was at his conference (so no fancy editing or sound effects). Gavin is getting to be quite the little man on a mission. :)

A pumpkin among pumpkins

After a week or so of rain and grey skies, the sun FINALLY decided to break through today, and gave us a perfectly beautiful fall day. It also just so happened to be the same day of our outdoor family photo session (whew!). After the session, the weather was too gorgeous to go home, so we drove out to the Sauvie Island pumpkin patch. I've always wanted to go, but last year we had a 1-month-old, and someone was too scared to take him outside of the house. I'm not saying who. :)

Elmo

There's a neat little restaurant near us called Me Too Cafe, which has a supervised playroom for toddlers and a dining area for adults. My friend told me the other day that Elmo was going to be making a personal appearance that night, so we thought we'd finally go check it out. I thought there was a 50/50 chance that an adult-size Elmo would terrify Gavin, but he's been surprising me a lot lately. After Elmo walked into the playroom, it was complete chaos, but Gavin finally got a turn to cuddle with his hero.

First haircut!

So, as you could see in the previous post, Gavin has a wealth of hair. While this was very adorable, it was also a little unruly. We're getting a family portrait taken in 2 weeks, so I thought it was time for a professional cut. We went to this cute little place called Pigtails & Crewcuts, and Gavin did so well! He got to sit in a little airplane and steer the whole time and hardly noticed there was a stranger touching him. In the end, it was sad to see some of the hair go, but they saved some locks for me and gave us a special card. :) Here are some befores & afters.
