THINGS: Assabah (basketball, or basketball hoop), beenee (banana), cocky (coffee), stee (stirring coffee, or steering the car), tunnah (tunnel), boat, towah (tower), dog, horse, tack (cat), mouse (he LOVES the mouse), turtle, bear, pee (pig)
PLACES: stoh (store), ahsigh (outside - and this is usually SHOUTED), home, house
SHAPES: cirtle (circle), orul (oval), stah (star), hot (heart), sare (square)

And that's all I can think of at the moment!

On to other happenings...

Gavin and I recently went to the zoo with our friends, Michele & Logan, and he loved seeing the animals.

Here he is rockin' his new shades

The first time on the potty had great results, but it hasn't happened since. At least he loves reading the potty book!

Loves motorcycles, just like his dad

Always happy to have a playdate with Madison
Or our friends from Seattle, Carly, Aurelia, and Cicely
Moms get playdates too, sometimes

Gavin LOVES going to the indoor playground at the Rec Center on Tuesday & Thursday mornings. It's a gym full of cars, wagons, slides, a trampoline, train sets, mini houses and kitchens, etc.

Tucson

Last weekend, we took Gavin on his first airplane ride and spent 4 days in Tucson with Pat, Shelley, Charlie, and Eilise. Since Saturday was my birthday, I had a chocolate cake and oreo ice cream waiting for me, as well as a cool sign, all made by Shelley & the kids. We also spent time outside at the park and at a place called Pinnacle Peak (a little replica of an old Western town). It rained on Sunday, so the guys took the kids to the Children's Museum and Shelley and I went to see a movie. Gavin had a great time playing with his cousins, and we were so proud of how well he did away from home and on the plane (thank goodness for portable dvd players!).
Here are the highlights...

A little un-PC, but cute

We actually had 4 really good pics to choose from in the shot below (which is totally unheard of with Gavin, usually). He was just so happy to be sitting up there with his big cousins.

Catching up on February

Gavin and I kept pretty busy with outings during our incredibly mild February. He loves going to the park to play, watching the ducks, and running around like crazy.

This is Jamison Park, next to our old apartment downtown. Gavin loves the huge open space to run around, and he'll love it this summer when it turns into a water park. Mommy loves it's proximity to coffee and gelato.

What a difference a year makes...
