Playdates
Gavin's been busy this summer going places with mommy and getting together with his friends. We're still learning the concept of sharing, and are trying to cut back on the drama & tears when things don't go our way. (The good news is that we haven't had many breath-holding or passing out episodes in the last 2 months or so, which, if you don't know, we've been dealing with since he was 6 months old or so. Not fun!) Anyway, here are some shots of Gavin and his friends over the last 2 months.

The only way to get these kids to sit still for pictures is to turn on Blue's Clues. Except for Rachel. She's still pretty easy.

Watch video below to hear the fun (and Madison's maniacal laughter :)

We like to meet Sarah and her son Jack at the park a lot. We walk around the lake, run after the ducks, and climb, jump, slide, and swing.

July fun
The summer weather finally kicked in during July, so we spent a lot of time at the park and frequented as many fountains as we could. Gavin LOVES fountains!

At the end of the month, we took Gavin out to Lincoln City and stayed about my mom's beach house. He had a great time there and loved walking down the street to the beach and back. He was a little tentative when we got to the sand, and a little wary of the huge ocean, but he loved it because he's talked about Gramma's beach house ever since. While we were there, we drove down to Newport to see the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Unfortunately, Gavin was starting to come down with a bad cold, so we stayed just long enough for him to enjoy some of the water features (of course he loved those), then we went home a little early. We'll definitely be going back soon.

4th of July
For the 4th, we drove out to Forest Grove to our friends' farm. They had games, animals, a pool, and best of all, tons of flags and pinwheels, which Gavin obsessed over. :) After our fun afternoon in the country, we drove home and bbq'd with a bunch our neighbors. The kids had fun blowing bubbles, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and setting off a few fireworks. To top the day off, Gavin slept through the rest of the night's fireworks.

Sorry fans!
For those of you still checking in now and then to catch up with us, I wanted to let you know we've been having technical difficulties for the past few months. I've attempted quite a few times to make updates, but every time, my post hasn't saved and disappears. And I only have so many opportunities to work on it, as well as a limited amount of patience. We have many more photos and some videos we want to share, so thanks for checking in, and I hope to post something new soon!
